Your first piece

This takes about a minute. You'll describe an idea, listen to it, change one thing and drag it into your project.

1. Describe it

Open MIDI Genie. Under What do you want to make?, type what you hear in your head, for example:

epic action cue: timpani, low brass and driving strings with big dynamic swells

Press Enter. MIDI Genie shows each step as it works. You can press Stop at any time.

2. Listen

Your music arrives as separate tracks, such as strings, brass and timpani, each playing a built-in sound. Press Space or Play to hear it. Use M and S on a track to mute or solo it.

3. Change it

Type a change in plain words, such as make the strings more intense, add a French horn melody or 8 more bars, and press Enter. MIDI Genie updates the take. If you liked it better before, press ↺ on the takes strip to step back.

Want a fresh idea instead? Choose New take before you send. Your current take stays where it is.

4. Drag it into your DAW

Grab the handle on a track and drop it onto a track in your DAW. To bring in every track at once, use the handle in the top bar. That's it: the MIDI is yours to edit, re-sound and arrange.
