Start in your browser
MIDI Genie works in your browser, with nothing to install. Make an account and you get free credits to try it.
Make your account
- Go to app.midigenie.com and press Create account.
- Enter your producer name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, and tick the human check.
- You'll see Check your inbox. Open the email from MIDI Genie and press Confirm my email. The link works for 24 hours.
- You're logged in, with your free credits ready.
No email after a few minutes? Check your spam or promotions folder, then press Send the link again. Free credits are given once per person, after you confirm your email.
Your home page
After you log in, the home page shows a box to describe a piece, a few starter ideas, your credits and your recent takes. The menu on the left takes you to:
| Page | What it's for |

| Create | Make and refine music. Each conversation is a session, and its address stays in your browser bar, so you can bookmark it. |
| Library | Every take you've made, from the browser and the plugin. Search, star, open or download. |
| Plan & credits | Your balance, plans, top-ups and credit history. |
| Plugin | Download the plugin and see which computers are logged in. |
| Settings | Your name, profile picture, default quality (Standard or Pro), password, and deleting your account. |
Make your first piece
Type an idea in the box, such as sad solo piano in A minor, and press Create. The number on the button is exactly how many credits it uses. Your first piece walks you through the rest.
Something wrong?
Press Report a problem in the menu. Choose what went wrong and, if it's about a piece, pick the session so we can see exactly what happened.
